Constitutional Advocates for Victims’ Rights (CAVR) is committed to protecting the privacy of those who share their stories, experiences, or personal information with us. This policy explains how long we keep data and when it is deleted.

1. Personal Information

Contact Forms & Stories: Personal information you provide (such as name, email, or accident details) will be retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry or connect you with resources.

Newsletter Sign-Ups: Email addresses provided for newsletters will be kept until you unsubscribe.

2. Accident Stories & Submissions

Stories or accident details submitted for awareness or advocacy may be retained for longer periods if they are published or archived, but identifying details can be removed upon request.

If you request deletion of your story, we will remove it from our systems within 30 days.

3. Donor Information

Donation records are retained as required by law and for financial accountability (generally 7 years).

Donor contact information is kept as long as you remain an active supporter, unless you request removal.

4. Technical Data

Analytics data (cookies, site usage, IP addresses) may be stored for up to 24 months for website performance and improvement purposes.
